Park & Recreation Commission

The Parks & Recreation Commission consists of five members including three alderpersons and two citizens. All members are appointed to a one-year term by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Common Council.

The Commission has the general supervision of recreation in the City and operates and maintains all parks, community recreation centers, playgrounds and other areas which are assigned to it by the Council. It makes rules and regulations for the government and control of all such places of recreation, subject to approval by the Council.

The Parks & Recreation Commission meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month at 5:15 p.m. at City Hall.
