Clerk-Treasurer

The Clerk-Treasurer's office responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operation of all administrative functions and services not under the direct control of the City Administrator.  The Clerk-Treasurer Office staff Clerk-Treasurer, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, and Administrative Assistant. The goal of the Department is to execute all duties and responsibilities in a responsive, courteous, and cost-effective manner by ensuring that all administrative requirements are met in a timely fashion and that the day to day operations and affairs of the City are managed responsibly and professionally.  Specific department responsibilities include:

  • budget preparation
  • tax calculation and collection
  • committee support
  • license administration
  • election administration
  • maintenance of official records
  • bookkeeping and accounting
  • payroll preparation
  • collection and investment of funds
  • preparation of reports
  • insurance administration
