VacancyAt a special council meeting on March 19th, the Common Council voted to accept the resignation of Maggie Tischauser from her seat as Alderperson for District 5.  Alderwoman Tischauser submitted her resignation, effective April 15th, because she is moving outside of the district.  According to State Statute, the Council may appoint someone to fill the vacancy until a successor is elected and qualified.  As such, the Council voted to begin the selection process by posting an advertisement in the newspaper to solicit applications from interested residents.

Applications can be obtained from City Hall during normal business hours or by clicking here.  Mayor Richard Beggs will be accepting applications until 430pm, Friday, April 26th, 2019.  Applications may be dropped off or mailed to Clintonville City Hall, 50 10th Street but must be received by the deadline.

The appointment will be considered by the Common Council during the May 9th Council meeting.  The appointment is for the remainder of Alderwoman Tischauser's term, which will end April 2020.
